GP Services in Machynlleth
At the end of July 2015 management of the Machynlleth Medical Practice will revert from Drs Church and Hood to Powys teaching Health Board.
Patients should see no immediate change to the services provided and patients will continue to be seen and treated by an appropriate health care professional at the Machynlleth Health Centre.
This planned change is taking place as a result of recruitment difficulties at the practice and at the request of Dr Church. Powys teaching Health Board is working closely with Dr Church, Dr Hood, and their Staff to ensure as little disruption as possible during the cross-over period.
The health board is extremely grateful to Dr Church, Dr Hood, and the Health Centre Staff for all that they have done for the community of Machynlleth over many years and is pleased that the two Doctors will stay on working as GPs within the practice after the change of management.

Telephone Triage Appointments
From 1st June 2015, the practice will be implementing a telephone triage system.
In preparation for this, from Monday 20th April 2015 we will no longer be running Open Surgery for patients seeking urgent attention.
If you feel that you need to see a GP urgently, please contact the practice and you will be allocated an appointment with an appropriate clinician.
For further details, please see the Telephone Triage Appointments page.
Patients with a minor injury may either come directly to the surgery or contact the surgery beforehand by telephone on 01654 702224 between the hours of 8 am and 6.30 pm and do not require an appointment.
